PATRICK DEANE

PATRICK DEANE

PATRICK DEANE

Patrick is the band's lead vocalist, guitarist and musical arranger. Pat was born and raised in Chicago during the 50’s and 60’s, before moving to Key West and Atlanta; finally settling in Cocoa in 1990. He’s been playing music since elementary school and there is a long list of different bands he has performed with over the years. While in the Keys and Atlanta he was a member of the Ants and Scraps playing local venues and opening for such acts as the Romantics, Talking Heads, Leslie West and Mountain, Humble Pie, The Baby's, among others. Once in his new home on the Space Coast, Pat formed Little Joe and the Giants and then Sons of the Beach. Both bands played throughout the area in any bar, hotel, yard party, etc. that would have them. A revolving door of local musicians kept things both different and interesting. You’ll hear pop, rock, country, standards, and original music in his style. Before joining H1B he fronted the GoFoot Band who placed as finalists in the 2014 “Brevard Live” original music contest. He retired from the medical profession after 35 years and is now free to pursue music.

JOE BATTISTA

Just call him "BAT". He is the band's drummer,  second

vocalist and also manages the bands' business.

Originally from New Jersey,  he brings a “Jersey Shore Beach Vibe” to the band. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, a Masters' Degree in Educational Administration and

taught music for 26 years before moving to Florida. Bat has played with many top NJ bands including Trax, Pat Roddy, Sonny Kenn, Castle Browne Blues Band and Stringbean Blues, along with oldies bands The Duprees and The Belmonts.

He has opened for such diverse acts as Cheap Trick, Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge, Jimmy Beaumont and The Skyliners, The Drifters and even The Village People.

In the late 1980's, Bat was the drummer for Richie Balin and the TNP Band, which toured both the USA and Canada

 supporting Richie's country record releases.

Bat adds both lead and backing vocals to the H1B sound

and can be seen playing a full drum set, electronic

drums or a cajon/percussion/shaker set up for low volume  shows.
